Navigate 2025’s tax deadlines with ease. Get your comprehensive tax ‘to-do’ list for a stress-free estate planning process.

Ever feel overwhelmed by the IRS’s myriad of tax deadlines? 2025 is around the corner, and it’s time to get your tax ‘to-do’ list in order. Start the year right by marking your calendars with these key dates. The final estimated tax payment of 2024 is due on January 15. Tax filing season officially begins on January 27. Employers, remember that January 31 is the last day to provide annual income information.

Navigating Mid-Year Deadlines

As we roll into February 18, it’s the deadline to file form W-4 to maintain exemption for tax withholding. Mid-March (March 17 to be precise) is when Partnerships and S corporations need to file their 2024 calendar year returns.

The Infamous April 15

April 15 is a date that rings in every taxpayer’s mind. It’s the deadline for individual taxes, the first estimated tax of 2025, and the last day to make contributions to health savings accounts and individual retirement accounts for 2023.

Wrapping up the Year

As the year winds down, remember December 31 as the deadline for required minimum distributions for retirement accounts. The final estimated tax payment of 2025 is due on January 15, 2025. If you’re affected by disasters, you may be eligible for relief, including extensions of time to file. Need help with tax issues causing financial hardship? The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) may be able to assist. Finally, remember that all taxpayers have rights when dealing with the IRS.
